I never had you.I guess it started later this year than before.
so when you looked at me, of course that would set it off.
to this day, I don't know why it happens. it's as though
i have an incurable heart ache, and after four long years of
lying to myself, I have to admit the truth. My feelings and
love never faded away. they are still so present.
laying in his arms, there is a twang of regret.
over time, everyone said it would fade. but there is a
vacancy in my heart without you, and it's killing me.
everyday is the same; I wish he was you.
you know the worst part? I know how it is now; so
one-sided and hopeless. and as I cry, you are
undoubtedly okay. if only you knew like I do.
A swollen mass of cloudy eyes and puffy flesh
I dont need a forecast to know it will rain
I hear the thunder resonate from my breast
The lighting controls my body with painful jolts
A violent storm my emotions brew
Children in fear and Mothers uneasy
But the tempest will soon be a memory
Though it rages on within
I can taste the somber raindrops
Acidic, they pass my lips with a hopeless taste
Falling down past my atmosphere
Despair grows in the puddles at my feet
I can feel the wind picking up now
Ominous thoughts dance slyly in my mind
Lying down, the tears slide past my ears
I discover a new kind of sadness
No matter how many times I steal the sun
Taking it and hiding it in my cloudy shade
I still can't see it shine
Why can't I see it shine?
Once upon a time...Once upon a time ..
There was a young girl. She had been born to a rich family, and all her life, she had everything handed to her. All she had to do was snap her fingers and anything she wanted was brought to her on a silver platter. Her name was Lily, because she was as beautiful as one. Also, being from such a rich family, she was constantly courted by all the men of the village. Except one, his name was Dilan.
One young man ignored her and pretended like she was invisible. No matter what she said or did, he ignored her unless he was forced to. Whenever he did talk to her he did everything that was asked, not once questioning her or her motives. Even though sometimes she had him do trivial things like walk around their village or to wear different clothes.
Lily wouldn't give up though and every day she visited him. Once she realized that she wasn't going to get his attention by acting like a Queen, she just started to act normally around him again. Dilan treated her like
Melon-BabyMelon-Baby was round and sweet,
Almost far too cute to eat.
But in the rising Summer heat,
Temptation was too hard to beat.
One day as Mum strolled down the street,
With Melon-Baby tucked up neat,
Soundly snoring fast asleep,
Mum's hunger had begun to creep.
"It'll be some time before I eat,
I'll just munch on those little feet."
But when taste and tongue did meet,
Melon-Baby did soon deplete.
Melon-Baby was round and sweet,
Almost far too cute to eat.
But in the rising Summer heat,
Temptation was too hard to beat.
This wilderness is unforgiving
A desolate, blood-chilling maze
My mental resources are running low
Yet the earth doesn't let up
Occasionally I wander upon a spring
My hope soars, soon to be ruined
By the brackish, tainted waters
That dehydrate my weary mind
There are no animals to hunt either
Only human feelings venture this far
My hunger turns to starvation
I'm exhausted and desperate.
I've been lonely for the most part
But sometimes I come across another
In this emotional wasteland, struggling
No supplies to give, but we share our stories
As I gaze upon the mountains in the distance
I realize things won't improve anytime soon
But there must be an end somewhere
To this trail of tears
When in loveI wonder if you could sense how I feel when I look at you,
Tilting my head to the side when I smile with you.
The way I feel when I listen to you,
The anticipation in my stomach right before seeing you.
I could hold my breath counting the number of stars I see in your eyes,
Stretch my fingertips to graze the surface of your lips,
And slowly, tenderly,
Fall in love with the way you look at me every time.
I sometimes wonder if you could see all this in my eyes,
Recognize the feeling of my heart in my voice,
Feel the tenderness of my mind lost in translation,
A heart wavering like an angel hair in the wind.
A Poem for Jennya seed beneath these mounds of dirt
suffocated by the cold
waiting, waiting to erupt
hoping, praying to burst forth
this seed buried underground
with such potential to emerge
wishing to taste the air above
but afraid by this new, únknown urge
warmth begins to penetrate
the hardened, frigid, rocky soil
the seed below begins to rise
desire within begins to boil
the bud climbs up and up above
breaking through the moistened ground
a healthy stem begins to sprout
feeding on the rays of sun
pinkest petals start to show
embracing this new love of life
resonating beauty shines
radiating strength and light
N40 Broken Paths
I don't even mind the fierce, harsh winds pounding up against me. The sight of dust, rock, and debris falling before me is enough to take my mind off it.
I did this. I actually did it.
I cover my mouth with my hands. I'm sure my wide-opened grin beams through. I'm so giddy over the whole thing.
The Morrigan said that mountain was twice as large as the largest mountain on Earth. I didn't bother to fact check her, but still. While standing at the base of it, I couldn't even make out where the top ended. It was pretty darn huge.
That's the key word here. It was huge. And then I broke it.
I broke it. I shattered it. I demolished it. It didn't even take that much effort. I placed my hands on its temperate, rocky exterior and just willed it to collapse. And it did. I did it. I made it happen. And I have the Morrigan to thank.
I turn to her as she walks towards me. The contrast her dark, black hair and black, feathered gown makes with her smooth, pale face causes her to sti
SamsonHe wasn’t familiar with the sound of the car. Maybe if he’d known he would have had time to move, but Samson was a cat who had spent the whole of his life sheltered inside, his whole life up until the day his human had carelessly left the front door open while bringing in her groceries. Samson couldn’t place what had changed in his human in the days before he left, but she had stopped paying nearly any attention to him at all. Under other circumstances, Samson would never have gone outside without his human knowing; he wouldn’t want to worry her, except that on this day he had been sure that she wouldn’t notice. He would be back before she missed him, and if she did somehow notice, then perhaps she might remember to cuddle with him a little more often, maybe even greet him with a fond nuzzle the way she did.
The problem was that Samson didn’t know how to get back to his human now. In reality, Samson wasn’t even quite sure what had happene
The Magic Within Prologue There is a place so very different from ours and so very far away from this droll, lifeless world we call our home. I never thought a place so pure could exist, untouched by the greed, selfishness, and corruption that plagues our world. Whether I stumbled upon the entrance to this world by pure chance or be it by fate, I do not know, but I find myself forever changed because of it.
The lush, green rolling hills dotted with flowers of every color imaginable that went on for miles under a sky so blue it could rival sapphires. The mountains of purple in the distance that stretched so high they seemed to pierce the very heavens. The forests so thick one could mistake it for night despite it being the middle of the day. The oceans of crystalline waves that beat against the sparkling white sands of the beach.
But what made this world so different and wonderfully special compared to ours is that magic truly exis
Heels Three o’clock in the afternoon. I lazily sat down on my chair, grabbed my binder, and patiently waited for the professor while drumming my fingers against the plastic surface of my arm desk, silently hoping that the lesson we would be discussing later would be worth my time. Five minutes have passed; the professor hasn’t entered the room yet. Eight minutes went by; I noticed the latecomers coming to class giggling and sighing in relief to see that the prof wasn’t around. Nine minutes; she silently closed the door behind her, with her bag slung over her shoulder and her books and folder tucked closely with her one arm. She hurriedly walked to her seat and I noticed her exhaling in relief, knowing that the prof wasn’t around. Eleven minutes; her eyes behind those glasses were focused on the dimmed screen of her laptop. She must have been reading an e-book or probably readings that were needed in our other subjects. Suddenly, she was distracted
Room 4 Rent 101 In For A PennySCENE 1-OUTSIDE THE APARTMENT
NARRATOR- This is Alex. He's a good guy who’s had a bad couple of days. It started when his girlfriend broke up with him and took their apartment. Since then he's been living out of his car, desperate to find a new place to live. His work has suffered, he's lost sleep, and his hygiene has been less than stellar but things were about to change for him, he knew it, they just had to. He had heard from his friend Barry, that his Grandmother was renting out her old house and that there was a room for rent, It just became available. Being friends with her grandson got him the room upstairs, no questions asked. This was it, a second chance at a fresh start. I mean, what could go wrong?
(Alex's car pulls off the road and parks in front of an old house. It was small but nice. It was 2 floors with a small lawn. Alex took a deep breath and smiles. He pops the trunk and pulls out a box. He takes one last look at the house from the road and walks to the door. Rea
Case #29Don't ever tell anybody anything. If you do, you start missing everybody.
"You remind me of my mother."
"I'm not your mother."
"No. You're not. But you could be mistaken for her."
"Does it matter who?"
"Does it matter to you."
"Does what matter to me?"
"Knowing who could mistake you for my mother."
"Anyone who knew my mother."
"How many people knew your mother?"
"Then only you could mistake me for your mother."
"In a sense. Does it really make a difference who?"
"Yes. Different people make different mistakes for different reasons."
"Then what kind of mistake do you see in me?"
"You're lonely. You want someone to fill the role of your mother. Anyone will do."
"Maybe. But that doesn't mean you're right."
"Maybe. But that doesn't mean I'm wrong."
"Ok. Why am I wrong?"
"Because I c
Fighting the Good Sniffles(Lights up on a modest kitchen. MAN and WOMAN are standing, facing each other.)MAN
I've got a rotten cold.
Fighting the sniffles, are we?
No, just me; I don't think you're showing signs of infection, yet.
Glad to hear it.
You won't be glad to hear the latest. Everything is in peril!
This I have not heard. Do tell.
With worldwide disaster looming on the horizon, the whole of humanity sinks into a deep crisis, and there's no one able to save it, except for -
- Us! We will save you, pitiful citizens. Have no fear, for we are here!
Do you think it's OK to call them "pitiful?"
Absolutely. I can't imagine whyever not.
Well, you know how people can be... the emotional needs of the female -
- The egotistical needs of the male, too. Not to mention the children; whiners all. Such a pitiful assortment.
So very true.
In fact, it's a pity we have to save them. Almost better to let them go all at once, peacefully.
Purgatory's Stars ch.1
"Hey c'mon!" Todd shouted from in front.
About ten feet behind him, trailing off in her daydreams, was Mary-his hopeless girlfriend. Their story is one of odd peculiarities and a tragic yet mysterious accident...
Todd met Mary months ago. It was April in Illinois and the rain was pouring down hard on the two unfortunate teenagers. Gloomy gray clouds clothed the blue sky underneath like a poofy damp sweater. Todd used his ninety pound geometry book for what little protection it offered as he walked out from school. Finally, he caught site of a local bus stop with a small roof. Perfect-he could rest there until the storm cleared up a bit. He slumped his heavy backpack to the side and slid into a seat.
A sigh was uttered to close by, it made him startled. He didn't even notice the girl sitting in a seat down from his. She has long light brown hair that traveled down in waves past her pale neck and hung a bit past her shoulders, and wore a b
Her Meow It was a bright sunny afternoon. Baby Jack was taking his usual nap and Nathan, my husband, was out at work. Everything was at peace and outside I could hear a few birds chirp....my stomach did a back-flip. I loved birds...just too much. I tried to resist the urge but finally gave into my instinct. I stopped what I was doing and took a quick step outside. I halted. Perched just at the lowest possible branch of a nearby birch tree, was a large robin singing without a care in the world. Most ordinary folk would stop and enjoy the sweet song or offer the bird a small snack of seeds or bread crumbs...but I wasn't exactly ordinary.
I couldn't help but to stare at the winged thing. It looked so tender and pulp. Just begging to be snatched by an unsuspected claw. I just couldn't help myself. Step by step, I approached the branch so silently I startled my own self. Finally, only inches from the bird I crouched down, made my pouncing position
One Thousand Days One thousand days lost at sea.
One thousand days spent bandied about by the indifferent surge of the tides, steering by the billion-year-old light of long worn-out stars.
One thousand days spent without another living soul.
One thousand days, or maybe more. Probably more.
I am driven forward by that most malicious of fallacies, the sheer lie of legacy. Braver men than I have perished in their quest for the unattainable. Seeking immortality, whether real or mythical, (though either conception of immortality is pure myth in itself,) they reach for that which they know can never truly be theirs. For that which, perhaps, does not even exist. Better men. Smarter men. Stronger men.
But we feel it in our hearts.
We seek it because we know that it must be real, or rather, because we simply cannot accept the

Bloom Little FlowerBloom my little flower,
Reach up towards the sun.
Look my little child,
My beloved little one.
If you love the sea,
You should sail it all your life.
Hear the deep marine,
Call to you inside.
If you love the city,
With it lights and noise and glare.
Then you will not be pitied,
If I should find you there.
If you love the fields,
To toil in the dirt.
You will surely yield,
A life filled with mirth.
If you love the forests,
And wandering with the trees.
I'll sing a joyful chorus,
If you find your calmness.
My child find your place,
And let your love shine.
For if you don't become commonplace
You'll earn this love of mine.
The truth is deep within you,
Just let it out.
Because my darling child,
That's what life is about.
Because You're BeautifulSo, can I tell you something?
You're beautiful, no really you are.
You've been battered and broken and pushed and tripped. You've been kicked when you're down, and you haven't always gotten back up. You've done things you're ashamed of, you've cried and you've screamed. You've blasted music and shut out the world, blocked the supposedly caring faces. But you see, you're beautiful because you decided to let them back in.
But that's my point- you're beautiful.
Don't bother showing me the scars because I already know they're there. You say it's the clarity and the numbness that takes away the pain. But I look at the lines you carved into your skin and I don't see the pain. I see struggle and I see fight and I see how strong you are inside. I see your victory over succumbing to the darkness, I see you in your triumph.
And that's my point- you're beautiful.
You're beautiful because you have hope, because you never let go.
You're beautiful because even when it seems the world stands against
The Day After Valentine's DayYour memory is rooted far and wide
in the Californian soil.
It rides on the 490 bus route,
every afternoon at 2:45pm
or at 3:25 if we were running late.
It's down the block at the corner deli,
draped in the layers of lunchtime aromas
and wearing that green apron you hated
but when I look, it isn't your smiling face.
It's in the streets of Chinatown,
in the maze-like tourist traps.
We would get lost anyway
underneath the red paper lamps.
It's in a hotel room in San Francisco,
holding hands underneath the bedcovers.
It's in the carved initials at the boardwalk,
a permanent reminder that two people
once imagined a future together.
Driving across five city lines every morning
I hear a whisper of you on every street,
every city block tainted by the memory of you
and me, and us, and no more.
When I had resolved to be haunted by the living,
something happened, something changed.
I drove by this morning and the bus bench
was just a bench, and the deli
just another place to h
BROKEN.I. Am. A. Puzzle.
Because. My mind. Is. Split.
And. I keep. Trying. To put. The pieces.
I keep. Jamming. The pieces.
Not. Aware of. My. Insanity. Until.
Finally. I realize. That. The pieces. Don't.
Because. They're. Broken.
You. Broke me.
And. You did it. So. Subtly.
Slowly. Tearing off. My. Well-rounded edges
Slowly. Ripping me. Deeper.
Where. I already. Had holes.
As you. Got closer. To me,
You were. Only trying.
To push. My felicity.
For my Future BelovedMy love, to you I will show true devotion
We will be free to express our true emotions
As our worlds intertwine
A bond will form of the most divine
My torn heart pieced whole
I will heal your broken soul
We will laugh together in harmony
We will make sweet poetry
For my future beloved, whoever you are
I promise to love you with all my heart
1. IntroductionWelcome to my life,
The place where dreams
Don't really come true
And wishes are dismissed
As being childish.
Welcome to my room,
That, there, is my bed.
The soft, warm place
Where I cry myself to sleep,
Too brokenhearted to care.
Welcome to the yard,
Where I spent my childhood
Digging to find China
And running through hoses
On hot, summer days.
Welcome to my life
The place where things
Are not always as they appear,
Just like the smile
That is taped upon my face.

back on the ground floor again
experiencing all the hardness and pain
of the world I'm trying to strive in
and all my efforts always seem to be in vain
countless times now I've thought about giving up
making this loop of madness stop
FallingA white feather floats
Down from the sky.
Landing among the
Gray skies part
Soft light comes.
Falling from the heavens
A small angel,
Torn and broken wings.
Feathers cascade down
The sky opens as rain falls.
Tears over falling for love.
Hitting the ground
A soft voice echo's all around.
"Do not weep for me,
It is love that I have found.
These tears you shed have come too late,
I cast no blame.
If this is the price I must pay
Then I do so with a smile upon my face,
No love should be forbidden."
StopI don't want to stop, the way I don't want to stop
scraping sunsets into my pockets, or
taping airplanes in your alarm clock so you can
fly instead of dreaming of me. And I've been
wearing the same pants till my fingers fall through,
poking the last hole in the constellation over your bed,
manning control centers for your safe return.
Tell me every distant star stays blinking like eyes across
a prairie road waiting for home. Tell me home is filled with
all of your laughs in clay jars with cracks in their sides.
Tell me you need me more than my pockets full of
quartz for your Sandman, and, every time you're flying,
you're really dreaming of me.
I Sail OnAgainst the wind I hold true
Myself, the world, the ocean, blue
Over the sea on which I float
The cold of the night, a black overcoat
Not the faintest of light reaches my eyes
Rain splatters down, and cold winds rise
This broken ocean, I sail along
waves of doubt, and decisions made wrong
but I breathe and I strive
One day I'll arrive
A faint light will grow
above the ripples and rows
The sea remains blue, but I sail on
Beyond the waves, a light calls eternal, and I sail on

My Tiny OceanI stand on this cliff staring outMy Tiny Ocean by Lost-In-The-Cadence
Wondering what I've become
Dreaming about the days ahead
And Thanking someone for the days behind
I've stare out at this ocean
And I begin to ask myself
What did I do to be able to stare out at this beauty
To behold this wonder
The waves crashing on the rocks reminds me of her hair
The shimmer off the water reminds me of her eyes
The breeze in my hair reminds me of her voice
And it's warmth of her hands

It's filled with beauty and grace
Yet people take it for granted
And watch is wash away
Standing on this peak
Taking so much effort to find it
Falling on this long journey
This is what life is
I've hit this peak with you
The effort was painful, but worth it in the end
I messed up so many times, but I made it here
And I found you
I take this world for granted
But this ocean is my sanctuary
For this ocean has strong meaning
And this meaning is you
